Hollywood couple Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden have officially expanded their family once again.
The couple announced the birth of their third child, a baby boy named Nautas Madden, with Madden sharing the news on Instagram alongside artwork featuring a ship — a nod to the baby’s ocean-inspired name.
“Cameron and I are Happy, Excited, and feeling so BLESSED,” Madden reportedly wrote in the announcement, adding that the name symbolizes “a navigator,” “voyager,” and someone “who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown.”

The name Nautas appears to be inspired by the Latin word nauta, meaning sailor or seaman. The unusual baby name is already sparking conversations online because of its bold nautical theme and rarity. Unlike more traditional celebrity baby names, Nautas has reportedly never appeared on the U.S. Social Security Administration’s most popular baby names list.
The couple are already parents to daughter Raddix, born in 2019, and son Cardinal, born in 2024.
One question many fans immediately asked online was whether Diaz and Madden used a surrogate again.
While the couple have not publicly confirmed details surrounding the birth of Nautas, there has been widespread speculation because Diaz and Madden previously welcomed at least one of their children through surrogacy, according to multiple entertainment reports over the years. However, neither star has publicly gone into detail about the process, and no official confirmation has been made regarding baby No. 3 specifically.
Diaz has openly discussed becoming a mother later in life. In past interviews, the actress said she feels motherhood arrived at the right chapter of her life, describing her 50s as her “sweet spot.”
The pair, who married in 2015, have largely kept their children out of the spotlight and continue to maintain an intensely private family life despite public interest in their growing household.
