According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received numerous calls Tuesday evening from people watching a livestream who feared Hilton was in immediate danger.

Rather than rushing into the home, deputies initially used crisis intervention techniques designed for mental health emergencies. Authorities said they created time and distance to encourage communication before eventually entering the residence and transporting Hilton to a hospital safely. He was reportedly alone inside the home when first responders arrived.

Dispatch audio obtained by media outlets indicates emergency crews spent roughly four hours managing the situation before Hilton was taken for treatment.

Following the incident, Hilton’s management released a statement thanking fans for their concern while requesting privacy for him and his family.

His longtime attorney and friend, Bryan Freedman, also expressed hope that Hilton receives the care he needs during this difficult time.
