Actor Shia LaBeouf is sharing new stories about his childhood in Hollywood, including claims that his father was removed from multiple movie sets after allegedly making female actors uncomfortable.

Speaking during an appearance at the 2026 Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee, LaBeouf recalled incidents involving two of his famous co-stars—Sigourney Weaver and Lucy Liu—while he was working as a teenage actor.

Shia LaBeouf Claims Sigourney Weaver Slapped His Father

According to LaBeouf, one incident occurred while filming the 2003 Disney movie Holes, where he starred as Stanley Yelnats alongside Sigourney Weaver, who portrayed the intimidating Warden.

During the fan convention panel, LaBeouf claimed his father, Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf, made an unwanted advance toward Weaver.

“He hit on Sigourney Weaver one time,” LaBeouf said. “She slapped him on Holes, on the Holes set.”

The actor did not provide additional details about what allegedly happened before the reported slap or whether any formal complaint was made.

Weaver has not responded publicly to the allegation.

Lucy Liu Also Allegedly Had Problems With His Father

LaBeouf also reflected on filming Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in 2003, claiming his father frequently behaved inappropriately around the film’s female cast.

“My dad was fresh out of prison,” LaBeouf said during the panel. “So we were on this set, and here’s all these pretty girls walking around. Bad news.”

He alleged that actress Lucy Liu “couldn’t stand” his father because he was “always whistling at her.”

According to LaBeouf, Liu would intentionally avoid walking near his family’s trailer while on set.

Like Weaver, Liu has not publicly addressed the allegation.

A Complicated Relationship With His Father

Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf has long been a controversial figure in Shia LaBeouf’s life.

The actor has previously spoken openly about growing up in an unstable household and about his father’s struggles with addiction and incarceration. Their relationship inspired parts of the 2019 film Honey Boy, which LaBeouf wrote while in rehabilitation.
