Calgary-born singer/songwriter Bella White continues to define her lane in modern Americana with “Pink Living Room,” the evocative new single from her upcoming third album A Sign In The Weather, out June 5 via Rounder Records.

A bittersweet, mid-tempo ballad, “Pink Living Room” finds White reflecting on past heartbreak while settling into the quiet clarity of the present. “I wrote it during a moment of processing and grieving time that’s gone by — recognizing how easy it is to carry around old baggage without realizing it,” White shares. “It’s also about newness and the fabulous unknown.”

The track is the fourth single from A Sign In The Weather, co-produced by White and Ross Farbe. Recorded in a shotgun house along the Mississippi River, the album marks a bold evolution beyond White’s bluegrass roots into a moodier, more daring strain of folk and Americana. “To me this album was a real labor of love and so empowering to make,” White says. “It validated that I trust myself and trust my vision.”

Previous singles from the album include “Little Things,” “Dream Song,” and “False Start,” written after the North Carolina floods as a response to surface-level chatter.

A Sign In The Weather arrives June 5 on Rounder Records. White is currently on her Spring 2026 North American tour with upcoming stops in New York, Nashville, and Atlanta.

About Bella White

Born and raised in Calgary, Bella White developed a deep affinity for Appalachian folk, country, and bluegrass at an early age. Moving across North America — Vancouver, Boston, New Orleans — she honed a sophisticated sound that blends traditional bluegrass and Appalachian roots with modern Americana, folk, and rock, revealing a depth well beyond her 25 years.

Hailed by NPR as “a voice for the ages,” White brings striking emotional honesty to her work. Her debut Just Like Leaving (2020) and follow-up Among Other Things (2023) earned widespread critical acclaim from Rolling Stone, Consequence, and American Songwriter. Her music has appeared in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and recent episodes of The Waterfront.

A rapidly rising presence, White has taken the stage at the Grand Ole Opry, SXSW, Stagecoach, and the Newport Folk Festival, and opened for Dierks Bentley, Tyler Childers, and The Red Clay Strays. Influenced by Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, and Lucinda Williams, she stands as a singular voice in contemporary roots music.
