Steve Aoki Takes the Plunge for NIOD’s Sephora Launch at The Grove

NIOD is marking its first-ever US retail expansion with an unusual celebration: a cold plunge activation outside Sephora at The Grove, featuring DJ and producer Steve Aoki taking the first plunge live.

The event runs Monday, August 24, 2026, from 12 to 4 PM, right outside Sephora at The Grove. Aoki kicks things off with a live plunge from 12 to 1 PM, with expert-guided plunge sessions continuing through 4 PM for anyone who wants in. Every participant who takes the plunge gets a Sephora gift card to shop NIOD’s hero product, Copper Amino Isolate Serum 3 1:1 (CAIS3) — which Aoki has cited as his personal favorite from the line.

Prefer to stay dry? The activation also includes an ice globe massage station, antioxidant popsicles, and in-store skin analysis at Sephora for anyone who’d rather skip the cold water.

NIOD (Non-Invasive Options in Dermal Science) is DECIEM’s science-first, tech-driven skincare brand, known for its evidence-led approach and its work in copper peptide formulation. The brand went live on Sephora.com on August 11 and rolled out into select US and Canada stores starting August 17 — this event marks the on-the-ground celebration of that launch.
