My Thoughts on #timesup

Hey!!! I have something to say…
Perhaps if we stop utilizing blanket statements like “boys will be boys”, “that’s how men are”, etc. – we will stop aiding excuses and excepting sexual harassment as normal behavior. 
I can’t tell you how many times I have been sexually harassed and every single time I have created an excuse and passed it off as normal workplace behavior because I was a young female in a male dominated industries and you know, “…boys will be boys”. 
Yes, we have started a rise in Hollywood (I have dealt with sexual harassment in Hollywood as well…), but we still have ways to go. 
Let’s give men a little more credit and stop utilizing those phrases.
Let’s give ourselves a little more respect and if this happens, speak up. It is not our fault. Do not create an excuse. It is not normal. It is not okay.
