Road Rage Dispute Turns Horrifying as Florida Man Allegedly Pins Mother With His Car in Domestic Attack

Tampa, Florida — A domestic argument in Tampa escalated into a violent roadside attack that police say could have ended in murder after a woman was allegedly struck by her boyfriend’s vehicle and left injured on the street.

Authorities with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office say 28-year-old Levi Stevenson has been arrested and charged after allegedly running over his girlfriend during an argument on June 12, then fleeing the scene.

Argument Turns Violent on East 138th Avenue

According to investigators, the incident began as a domestic dispute between the couple before escalating outdoors. As the woman attempted to walk away and distance herself from the situation, deputies say Stevenson allegedly followed her in his vehicle.

Authorities report that he then veered off the roadway and struck her with the car, before leaving the scene.

Emergency responders transported the woman to a nearby hospital with injuries that were serious but not considered life-threatening. She is expected to recover.

Phone Allegedly Taken During Attempt to Call for Help

Investigators also allege that during the altercation, the suspect forcibly took the victim’s phone as she attempted to call for help.

That detail led to an additional charge of robbery by sudden snatching, which prosecutors say is tied directly to the removal of her ability to contact emergency services during the incident.

Arrest and Charges Filed

Stevenson was arrested three days later, on June 15, after deputies tracked him down following the investigation.

He now faces charges including:

• Attempted second-degree murder
• Robbery by sudden snatching

Officials say the attempted murder charge reflects the allegation that the vehicle was used intentionally as a weapon during the attack.
