A clothing shipment tied to Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS has been caught up in a shocking drug smuggling case in the U.K.

Authorities say nearly $9.4 million worth of cocaine was hidden inside pallets of SKIMS garments being transported into England from the Netherlands.

A 40-year-old Polish truck driver, Jakub Jan Konkel, has been sentenced to 13½ years in prison after trying to move around 200 pounds of cocaine into the country.

Hidden inside “normal” fashion cargo

The shipment looked routine. High-volume apparel. Standard logistics. Nothing unusual on the surface.

But border officials at a port northeast of London became suspicious during a routine inspection. The truck was scanned using X-ray equipment.

What they found triggered an immediate investigation.

Inside the vehicle’s modified rear doors: tightly packed blocks of cocaine, each weighing about 2.2 pounds.

Quick stop, major red flag

Investigators say the truck made a 16-minute stop during its journey—logged on its tachograph—but never explained by the driver.

Authorities now believe that is when the drugs were loaded into the vehicle.

Konkel was reportedly paid just over $5,200 to complete the run. The drugs he carried were worth nearly $10 million on the street.

SKIMS not involved

Officials stressed that neither SKIMS nor its logistics partners were involved in the operation.

The brand, co-founded by Kim Kardashian, was simply used as cover in a larger international trafficking scheme.

The U.K.’s National Crime Agency confirmed the shipment itself was legitimate apparel—only the hidden compartments were used to conceal narcotics.

Big brand. Bigger blind spot.

SKIMS is now a multi-billion-dollar global fashion label with massive international distribution.

And this case shows how easily legitimate supply chains can be exploited by criminal networks looking for cover.
