Cheers to a growing family! Actor Kelsey Grammer, 70, is expecting his eighth child with wife Kayte Walsh, 46, as the couple was spotted in London on June 14, with Kayte debuting a noticeable baby bump.
The Frasier and Cheers star, a father of seven already, was photographed walking beside Kayte, who wore a flowing black sundress that showcased her pregnancy. Kelsey, dressed in a navy polo and white shorts, looked relaxed as the two enjoyed a stroll through the sunny streets.
A Look at Kelsey’s Expanding Family
Grammer and Walsh, who married in 2011, already share three children:
- Faith, 12
- Gabriel, 10
- James, 8
In addition to his younger children, Grammer has four adult children from previous relationships:
- Spencer, 41 (with ex-wife Doreen Alderman)
- Greer, 33 (with ex Barrie Buckner)
- Mason, 23 and Jude, 20 (with ex-wife Camille Grammer)
This will bring the actor’s total number of children to eight, spanning more than four decades of fatherhood.
A Candid Look at Fatherhood
In past interviews, Grammer has spoken openly about the ups and downs of being a father. In a 2023 interview with Variety, he said:
“My children—my young children, older children—the happiest I ever am is if they’re all in the same room together. It’s been painful and challenging and hard and tragic—all those things. But boy, it’s a great life. And I want to pass that on to them.”
He also admitted to having regrets about how his earlier parenting years unfolded:
“I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two,” he told People in 2023. “I’m trying to make up for a little of it now.”
Despite any struggles, Grammer continues to find joy in parenthood and is proud of his children’s accomplishments—particularly those who have followed his path into the entertainment industry.
“Kayte and I were talking about how it’s really something that a child would follow in their father’s footsteps,” he shared. “To think that all my kids… are all drawn to this industry. [Kayte] said, ‘That’s something to be proud of.’”
