Jessica Alba has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Cash Warren, after 16 years of marriage. The Trigger Warning actress, 43, submitted the legal documents in Los Angeles County on February 7, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences.

According to court filings, their official separation date is listed as December 27, 2024. Alba has also requested joint custody of their three children—Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and Hayes, 7—and for her legal name to be restored to Jessica Marie Alba (People, 2025).

A Public Statement on Their Separation

Speculation about their split had been circulating for weeks before Alba took to Instagram to confirm the news. In her statement, she reflected on their journey as a couple and the personal transformations they had both undergone over the years.

“I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and transformation for years—both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” Alba shared. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years, and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals” (People, 2025).

Despite the end of their marriage, Alba emphasized that they remain committed to maintaining a positive relationship for the sake of their children.

“We are moving forward with love, kindness, and respect for each other and will forever be family. Our children remain our highest priority, and we request privacy at this time,” she added (People, 2025).

Alba and Warren first met in 2004 while working on Fantastic Four and tied the knot in a private ceremony on May 19, 2008. Over the years, they have been known for their strong partnership and dedication to their family.
