Looking for LA events this week? From August 24 through August 30, 2026, Los Angeles has a packed back-to-school-season lineup: the first-ever One Piece Fest at Cosm LA, Jeff Goldblum’s jazz project at Blue Note, Echo Park Rising’s return to a full two-day format, and a stacked pop-up weekend from Dolce&Gabbana Beauty, HIRONO x The Hundreds, and Hot Wheels. This guide covers it day by day — Los Angeles proper only.

Every link below goes straight to the venue, organizer, or official ticketing page.

Coming Soon (Date Not Yet Confirmed)

  • Meow Wolf LA Grand Opening — Meow Wolf’s sixth permanent location, housed in a former movie theater in LA, has been widely reported as opening “late 2026,” but as of this writing Meow Wolf’s own site has not published a confirmed opening date. Some event calendars list September 1 as a placeholder — treat that date as unconfirmed until Meow Wolf announces officially. We’ll update this guide the moment a real date drops.

More Things to Do in LA This Week

Still deciding where to go? Here’s how to pick from this week’s Los Angeles events based on what you’re in the mood for:

  • Free and family-friendly: Echo Park Rising and the WSS x Cuco x PUMA meet and greet both cost nothing to attend.
  • First-of-its-kind: ONE PIECE Fest is a genuine first — Toei has never brought this event to the US before, and tickets are already tight.
  • Something intimate: Jeff Goldblum’s two nights at Blue Note LA are among the smallest-venue stops on his entire tour.
  • Shopping and pop-up culture: Dolce&Gabbana Beauty, HIRONO x The Hundreds, and Hot Wheels all overlap this weekend, so a Fairfax-to-Venice pop-up crawl is doable in a single day if you plan the route.

This LA events calendar is updated weekly — bookmark this page and check back for the latest things to do in Los Angeles, including concerts, pop-ups, festivals, and free events happening across the city. Every listing links directly to the venue or official ticketing source, so you always get accurate times, prices, and availability before you head out.
