Paid Media Specialist

Paid Media Specialists work closely with Growth Marketers to help achieve our clients’ goals and drivegrowth. They are responsible for collaborating on the paid media strategy and implementing/optimizing the accounts assigned to them.
At Optimal, there are no “Wizard of Oz” roles. We’re intentional about hiring professionals who are both technically proficient and equipped with strong customer relationship skills. And we continually invest in training to hone these skills. While this role does not directly manage clients, Paid Media Specialists are a key part of the strategy and execution of paid media work for clients. They assist Growth Marketers in strategic decisions, client discussions and reporting. Paid Media Specialists collaborate with Growth Marketers in a small-team environment. A small portion of there role is to assist the sales team with paid media audits.

We are seeking a candidate who has 3-5 years of digital marketing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in paid media. Additionally, the candidate should be aligned with our company’s mission, values, and culture. They should also have experience, ranging from theoretical knowledge to expert execution, in many of the following areas:
Responsibilities
Account audits
- Audits campaigns to alleviate issues and find opportunities to reach desired KPIs
- Able to deliver and communicate findings from audit in a way that could be client-facing, eliminating additional work for Growth Marketers to polish the data.
Paid media strategy
- Collaborate with Growth Marketers to define and execute the paid media strategy, ensuring alignment with wholistic digital marketing strategy
- Able to connect paid media strategy with client’s quarterly and annual goals
- Use historical data and keyword research to recommend appropriate budget, goals, and KPIs
- Provide direction on campaign assets and/or work with the internal team to execute the creation of necessary campaign creative and copy
Ongoing optimization
- Executes paid media strategy from ideation stage through execution and ongoing optimization stages on one or more of the following platforms: Facebook(Meta), Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, etc.
- Manage budget, pacing, and other day-to-day campaign execution and performance reporting.
- Proactively finding and building recommendations on new ways to improve performance
- Executes ongoing a/b testing to improve overall campaign performance to achieve goals and KPIs
Full funnel optimization
- Understand the relationship between ads and post-click destinations
- Able to analyze landing page performance and user behavior to identify areas of improvement and share suggestions to improve the conversion rate
- Constructing an ad strategy that mirrors the buyer’s journey
- Able to set up ad accounts to ensure correct audience & geographic targeting, ad structure, and conversion event tracking through Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Google Ads, and into CRM systems
Reporting
- Creates reports on campaign performance to share with Growth Marketers of the organization
- Utilizes live dashboards to analyze and report on daily, weekly, and monthly campaign progress.
Attend internal meetings and various client meetings
- Able to internally discuss campaign strategy, audit findings, and opportunities for improvement.
- Able to attend client meetings periodically to explain findings or dig into data with the client and Growth Marketer.

Technical experience
- Able to formulate campaign strategies based on client historical data, competitive analysis, and industry best practices and trends
- Able to set up accounts and audit conversion event tracking through Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Google Ads, and into CRM systems
- Analyze data with Google Analytics
- If needed, able to analyze website and keywords with SEO tools like SEMrush, Spyfu, etc.
- Copywriting and creative for ads
- Google Data Studio experience
- Google Ads certification
- (opt) Facebook Blueprint certification
- 3-5 years of digital marketing experience, with a minimum of 2 years in paid media
