The devastating California wildfires have claimed five lives, with the Palisades Fire and Sunset Fire spreading rapidly through Hollywood Hills. Over 180,000 people have been evacuated, including several celebrities who have lost their homes.

Among those affected are Paris Hilton, who shared she was “heartbroken beyond words” after watching her home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV. Melissa Rivers, the daughter of Joan Rivers and Edgar Rosenberg, said she was able to save several important items that belonged to her parents before her home was destroyed.

  • Anna Faris: The actress’ home burned down, but she and her family are unharmed.
  • Rosie O’Donnell: The actress and comedian posted a video on TikTok showing the destruction along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
  • Cary Elwes: The “Princess Bride” actor and his wife Lisa Marie Elwes said they had lost their home, but were “grateful to have survived this truly devastating fire.”
  • Ricki Lake: The actress said she lost her “dream home” in the wildfires, escaping with her dog, Dolly, and “not much else.”

The California Governor, Gavin Newsom, has declared a state of emergency, and the City of Los Angeles Mayor, Karen Bass, has also declared a local emergency. The situation remains dire, with thousands of homes and structures threatened by the raging wildfires.
