Authorities arrested a JetBlue pilot, 33-year-old Jeremy Gudorf of Ohio, at Boston’s Logan International Airport on Thursday night, just before he was scheduled to fly to Paris. Gudorf was taken into custody due to an outstanding warrant from North Carolina, where he faces charges of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The arrest was initiated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers conducting a routine review of flight crew manifests. Upon discovering the active warrant, Massachusetts State Police were notified, and Gudorf was detained at the airport.

According to authorities, the Huntersville Police Department in North Carolina launched an investigation into Gudorf in October 2024, following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Before being identified as a suspect, Gudorf had relocated from North Carolina to Ohio.

On Friday, Gudorf appeared in East Boston District Court, where he was formally charged as a fugitive from justice. The judge set his bail at $10,000, requiring him to surrender his passport and return to North Carolina to face charges by early next week.

JetBlue has placed Gudorf on indefinite leave pending the outcome of the legal case. The airline issued a statement saying, “We are aware of and closely reviewing the arrest of one of our pilots upon reporting for work at Boston’s Logan Airport Thursday evening due to an outstanding warrant.”

Despite the delay caused by the arrest, Gudorf’s scheduled flight to Paris departed approximately 90 minutes late and landed safely at Charles DeGaulle Airport the following morning.
