Pinterest Statistics April 2024

Pinterest is a great platform to funnel more traffic to your website, blog, or affiliate links. Unlike other social media platforms, it will push your content to other users if you have a smaller audience.

With over 400 million active users monthly, mastering Pinterest can significantly boost your online presence. In this blog post, we’ll delve into seven proven strategies to help you get more views on your Pinterest profile and ultimately increase your website traffic.

Tip! Focus more on your Pinterest’s monthly views vs followers. Yes, followers are fantastic, but your reach is more important.

At no extra cost to you, some or all of the products featured below are from partners who may compensate us for your click. It’s how we make money. This does not influence our recommendations or editorial integrity, but it does help us keep the site running.

1. Optimize Your Profile and Pins for Search:

  • Use relevant keywords in your profile name, bio, and board descriptions to improve your visibility in Pinterest searches (as you can see in my profile I have written out what My Unbounded Life is about).
  • Create compelling pin titles and descriptions with keywords that users are likely to search for. Researching trends and also looking at your feed (which I like to do with their mobile site) will help with choosing pins that will produce clicks.
  • Use high-quality images that stand out in the Pinterest feed to attract more clicks. Here is a tip, if you can’t afford stock images and if you can, try to take the photos or create the images/videos yourself.

2. Create Fresh and Compelling Content:

  • Regularly create new pins and fresh content to keep your audience engaged and attract new followers. I try to post as much as I can. Here is a tip of mine, have your pins ready to go for the day. Post every hour and by the hour. When you see that it is a great time to post, post back to back.
  • Experiment with different formats like video pins, story pins, and idea pins to diversify your content and appeal to a broader audience.
  • Focus on creating valuable and actionable content that solves problems or provides inspiration for your audience. For instance, have a couple of pins for the same blog and play with the wording. This is how you will know which post is more clickable and which post you should advertise (if you are pinning with the intention of advertising).

3. Join and Participate in Group Boards:

  • Joining relevant group boards can expand your reach and expose your pins to a larger audience.
  • Participate actively in group boards by sharing high-quality content and engaging with other contributors’ pins.
  • Follow the group board’s rules and guidelines to maintain a positive reputation within the community.

4. Utilize Pinterest Analytics:

  • Regularly monitor your Pinterest Analytics to understand which pins are performing well and identify trends in your audience’s preferences.
  • Use this data to optimize your content strategy, create more of what resonates with your audience, and adjust your posting schedule for maximum visibility. I will repost my best pins with the same graphic and post a different graphic for the same “blog”. I always try to do better than I did before.

5. Promote Your Pins:

  • Consider using Pinterest Ads to promote your top-performing pins and to reach a larger audience.
  • Use targeted keywords, interests, and demographics to ensure your promoted pins reach the right audience segment.
  • Set a budget and monitor the performance of your promoted pins to optimize your advertising strategy over time.

6. Engage with Your Audience:

  • Respond to comments on your pins and engage with users who share or save your content.
  • Follow other users, and repin content from influencers in your niche. I might spend a Sunday re-pinning and saving pins from other users. Pinterest likes it when you use their app and engage.

7. Optimize for Mobile Users:

  • Since a significant portion of Pinterest users access the platform via mobile devices, ensure your pins and website are optimized for mobile viewing.
  • Use vertical pins with clear, easy-to-read text and visuals that look great on mobile screens. I have posted pins with different sizes, but I make sure that the text is legible.
  • Optimize your website’s loading speed and mobile responsiveness to provide a seamless experience for Pinterest users who click through to your site. *You only have a couple of seconds to impress your audience. You do not want to turn them off with a bad website. They might see your pins in the future and not click the link because of the past results.

By implementing these seven strategies, you can effectively increase views on your Pinterest profile, grow your follower base, and drive more traffic to your website or blog.

Remember to stay consistent, track your progress using analytics, and adapt your strategy based on what works best for your audience and niche.

With dedication and strategic effort, Pinterest can become a powerful tool for expanding your online reach and achieving your business goals.
