6 Tips for Helping Your Skin Survive Winter

Tips for Helping Your Skin Survive Winter

The winter weather can be atrocious on our skin. Dry, flakey skin is no one’s friend and can cause patchiness and other skin issues.

Here's our Top Tips for Helping Your Skin Survive Winter

1. Use a sleeping mask

A sleeping mask is super hydrating and a great way to hydrate your skin as you sleep. Only use 1-2 times a week.

“I love a good sleeping mask. I wake up with baby soft skin which is a miracle in the winter time,” -Ana Editor-In-Chief.

2. Invest in a good Toner and Hydrating Serums

A toner is super important during the winter. Make sure it is not stripping (alcohol is not in the first several ingredients). The right toner will moisturize the skin and normalize pH levels. Serums are amazing for facial skin. It gives the skin an extra boost.

💎So I have been on a quest, searching for my go to products. I have a lot of under the surface whiteheads that you can see up close and in the sun. My cheeks are very bumpy🥺. 💎I was recommended Paula’s Choice and I decided to embark into using their products. To be honest, this is my first non drugstore purchase (my other products were given to me by friends and family). 💎I purchased a toner, since I was out and then the exfoliate 2% BHA that everyone speaks of. I have been using for about a month now and I’m not sure if I have yet to notice a huge difference on my acne. The toner says oil/combination, but right now my skin is dry to normal. I use the toner 2xs a day usually and the BHA at night when I’m not doing much to my skin. I do not use cotton balls. I put in my hand and then pat onto my skin. I do feel like there is a difference with my skin tone. I will keep you updated on these products. 💎So here’s a question. When I am using the Toner and BHA which serum should be used with or separately with it? ➖Hydrate has Hydraulic Acid and Vitamin B ➖Revive has Peptides and Vitamin C ➖Glow has Magnesium and Vitamin C ✨✨✨✨Also, checkout today’s Top story about SKIN CARE MYTHS by clicking the link in the bio. 3. Use a High Quality Bronzing Oil

Just because it is winter, doesn’t mean your skin has to have a nice glow. A bronzing oil will instantly give you vibrant skin.

“This bronzing oil gives me a subtle glow.”- Ana

4. Use a good primer

The extra barrier will help keep makeup from “caking” and will seal in your moisturizer.

“I do not step out without primer during the winter, regardless of wearing makeup or not.” -Ana

5. Make sure your Body Scrub/ Wash is Hydrating

Check the ingredients in your soap and make sure your soap is helping your skin survive winter, instead of stripping it.

“Brevity’s body scrub is extremely hydrating.” -Ana

6. Make sure your Masks are Non-Drying

Once again, check the ingredients. Also, a sheet masks will be your friend during the winter.
